Horizons Education Trust is thrilled with the progress being made by Morgan Sindall as our new Special Area School becomes a tangible reality, with doors opening to students in September 2024. We welcome secretary Joanna Tregent to the team, with Head Teacher Designate Caroline Place continuing to recruit over the Spring/Summer terms.

Caroline Place hosted a walk-around on site for the Prestley Wood Academy AAG Group on 6th March, 2024 where we were able to show the progress in the hydrotherapy pool, rebound room, internal sensory spaces and our two magnificent courtyards.

Prestley Wood Academy will cater for 150 pupils aged between 3-19 years and is planned to the success of Spring Common Academy. As part of the same Trust we are planning lots of opportunities to share skills, experiences and facilities with Spring Common and Prestley Wood pupils and aim to ensure a positive and beneficial effect on our wonderful learners across both schools.
